**Stage A:** Series of SE die scratches from the lower area of the 19 of the date to the lower vest, left side and upper left of the mintmark. 
**Stage B:** Die scratches worn away. Prominent die deterioration lines above 89 in the date. \\
**Reverse:** 
**Stage A:** None noted (coin showed bubbles limiting evaluation). 
**Stage B:** Small die gouge right of upper serif of first S in STATES. \\
