Description

Doubling on ONE DIME. Doubling N-S on the N in ONE. Notching on the IM in DIME. Weak doubling with a strong spread on lower left E in ONE. Strong doubling E-W on the E in DIME with separation lines and notching. Most doubling is not visible on the example pictured.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Stage A: F-109. 1 repunched to the south. Stage B: F-110. Obverse die changed. 18 is repunched to the north. Horizontal die gouge above the upper left of the shield. Stage C: F-111. Obverse die changed. The obverse is misplaced date SMPD-001 with two 6s misplaced in the gown to the right of the bottom of the LIBERTY ribbon. Stage D: F-111. Die crack formed from the rim at 12 o'clock through the Liberty Cap and into OF.
Reverse: Stage A: F-109. None known. Stage B: F-110. Die crack runs through the top of the CC mintmark. Stage C: F-111. Numerous die cracks throughout the wreath. Die crack through CC still present. Die crack runs from the leftmost leaf north into the bottom of the wheat ear. Die crack runs north from the top of the corn on the right reverse into the leaf above. Stage D: Same as Stage C.
