| **Obverse:** **Stage A:** Die chips on the nose, the cheek, the back of the lips, the eyebrow, and the hair above the ear. Small die gouge far to the left of the mintmark P. Die gouge above and to the right of the S in the designers initials JS. **Stage B:** Die gouge near mintmark no longer visible. All other Stage A markers still visible. Most die cracks and chips increased in size. New die chip on the chin. \\ | |
| **Reverse:** **Stage A:** Many die cracks on the bottom of the torch. Die chip on the top of the torch. Many small die cracks and chips on the oak and olive branches. Die gouge touches the bottom of the olive stem. **Stage B:** All Stage A markers still visible. New die chip on the bottom of the torch. Most die cracks and chips increased in size. \\ | |
