Obverse: Stage A: Die scratch west by south from slightly below left center of the L in LIBERTY. Stage B: Die scratch worn away by L in LIBERTY. Die gouges east, south, and west of mint mark. Multiple die gouges northeast of 4 in date. Die gouge south of E in LIBERTY.
Reverse: Stage A: No prominent die markers visible. Stage B: Die gouge right of N in UNITED.
