Obverse:
Stage A: Die gouge under left side of U in TRUST.
Stage B: Die chip at the left lower side of the first 8 in the date. Strong die scratches north from IN. Heavy die gouge in field behind Lincoln’s head. Die gouge under left side of U in TRUST still visible.
Reverse:
Stage A: Heavy die scratches run directly north left of memorial base and column 1. Die scratches run north to south through the majority of the reverse.
Stage B: Likely new reverse. Die chip centered at the top of the S in PLURIBUS. Die gouge under I in AMERICA. Die gouge in bay 5 at level of Lincoln’s head.
