Doubled Die Reverses

CRDR-001 Doubling on the bottom of Sergeant William Jasper’s coat.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Die gouge inside the O in GOD.
Reverse: Die gouge between the upper legs. Die crack on the upper arm.

CRDR-002 Doubling on the bottom of Sergeant William Jasper’s coat.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Stage A: Heavy die scratches (possibly feeder finger damage) through the neck. Stage B: Die polishing removed the heavy scratches but left many smaller ones. The most prominent one is an NW-SE die scratch from the Y in LIBERTY to the neck.
Reverse: Die crack on the upper arm.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Die gouge above the G in GOD.
Reverse: Die crack on the upper arm. Nearly a retained interior die break in the area between the shoulder and the flagpole.

CRDR-004 Doubling on the bottom of Sergeant William Jasper’s coat.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Die gouge above the bottom left of the first A in AMERICA.
Reverse: Die gouge to the right of Jasper’s cap below the O in FORT. Die chips on the upper arm and the shoulder.
