Doubled Die Obverses

Designation Description Image
SDDO-001 Strong Class II doubling on elements closer to the center on IGWT, the 1 in the date, and on the nose.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Many die scratches through IGWT and in front of the face.
Reverse: Die clash remnants on the reverse. Many N-S die scratches through the fasces and the leaves.


Doubled Die Reverses

Designation Description Image
SDDR-001 Light Class VI and very close Class II doubling on outer lettering and lower leaves. Notching visible on the left star and the middle crossbar of the E in UNITED. Extra thickness visible on stars and lower leaves.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Die scratch runs east from the top of the Y in LIBERTY.
Reverse: Strong die scratch above the axe head. Die scratch through the ATE in STATES. Many die scratches through DIME.
