Die Markers:
Obverse: Stage A: Die scratches west from above the upper lip. Stage B: Die crack, heavily chipped, above the nostril. Stage C: None noted.
Reverse: Stage A: Die chips on the left and right upper olive leaves. N/S die scratch at the base of the torch holder with a chip toward the bottom. Stage B: Heavier die chips on the olive leaves. Stage C: None noted.

Die Markers:
Obverse: Stage A: Curved die crack above the nostril. Stage B: Die crack, heavily chipped above the nostril.
Reverse: Stage A: Short N/S die scratch in the field at the upper left of the M in AMERICA. Die gouge on the left side of the E in AMERICA about one-third down from the top. Stage B: Chipped die cracks on the upper and left set of leaves on the left hand side, running into the branch.

Obverse: Light ENE/WSW die crack in the hair near the forehead. N/S die scratch between the I and B of LIBERTY slightly below center.
Reverse: Light ENE/WSW die scratch between the top of the upper olive leaf and the flame.
